Even if you hibernated in a cave this winter, by now you’d know it is spring.
Spring, spring, spring, trallallalla….
The cows are happy, jumping and running across green pasture:
Flowers are happy, bursting into bloom for the sheer joy of it:
People are happy, dressing in bright colors and playing outside again:
Ducks are happy, time to look for a mate and make little ducklings:
And I am happy,
because it’s finally spring, spring, spring,
trallallalla…
I am inebriated by your fabulous fotos!

I wish I could say I knew it was spring. 😦 We have no spring season in Nicaragua, but I am inebriated by your photos, especially the Dutchman’s Breeches that looks like teeth all lined up. Happy spring!

I always love to find the Dutchman’s Breeches in the wild. They are a relative of the bleeding hearts that so many people have in their gardens…

Beautiful! I love how the cows look like the are frolicking 🙂 Springtime is the best time of the year after having endured winter and now everything is coming alive. The smells and colors 🙂

The cows really do seem to be frolicking and enjoying themselves… I couldn’t find a reason why they were running, one after the other. I thought maybe the farmer was coming to feed them, but that wasn’t the case. So I think it’s spring fever 🙂

Oh! I thought of bleeding hearts the instant I saw your Dutchman’s breeches but didn’t know they were related. What a happy post, Annette, and so beautiful.

You know, Annette, after this hard winter, everything that survived is doing better than I’ve ever seen it do before. And it’s not just because I’m so glad to see them all again! But I did lose more than I like to think about. Some plants just couldn’t take the extreme cold. It’s okay. All part of the cycle, I guess.

I am sorry that you lost so many of your plants, though. I think I lost a few natives myself, but that was probably my fault – pouring to many wood ashes over the garden bed 😦
