I don’t know, but my Westies do. There is abundant twitching and whining as they dream about….catching that squirrel, finally? Lovely photo!! Purrrrrrr.
I do suspect that cats dream…same twitching movements (without the whining) that you are describing…probably dreaming about catching a mouse, chipmunk, or, God forbid, rare songbird.
Do cats dream. Do they chase giant mice AND CATCH THEM?Are the food bowls filled with cream? And their sleeping pillow soft filled with the softest warmest down? Would that we ente their world and discover their dreams. Virginia
Awww, Annette, this is so sweet. I didn’t want to click on your post, though, because we had to have our cat, Black Jack, put to sleep two days ago. So sad!
Thanks, Annette. Black Jack was a special cat, and only 2 years old. He had a horrific UTI after a blockage, and he never recovered. Although, we went to 3 different vets, and many interventions, his kidneys shut down. But, I am very grateful to have rescued him when he was a baby. He led a very good life for a short time.
sweet post!

If they do dream, I bet all of those things are what a cat’s dream is made of, Vriginia 🙂

I imagine they do…of fat mice, perhaps, or how to train their humans.

It appears that they do when their nose and body twitches. What do you think.
