Jubilant indeed, Annette. Lovely to see your versions of wild flowers we also have here. Your columbine is especially gorgeous and covetable 🙂

The columbines I posted are the “wild” ones. However, every so often, I find pink and dark purple columbines along the side of a country road, probably naturalized from someone’s garden long ago.

They do so gallivant about, columbines. And they are a little promiscuous. My garden is filled with self-sown ones – cream, white, pink, mauve. I love them. But now I’m wanting your red ones too 🙂

Ah, those promiscuous dare-devils…maybe you should have a talk with them about genetically reverting back to their natural red color 🙂

I love to imagine you being jubilant amidst your mango and avocado trees, Debbie 🙂

Well, I am not so jubilant now, Annette. The giant mango tree near our house is dropping at least 3 wheelbarrows full of mangoes daily. It is a beautiful shade tree, but I am developing PTSS from the daily and nightly bombs falling on our tin roof. I have been investigating fruit eliminator injections, but Nicaragua doesn’t have anything like that. 🙂

I remember the small explosive noise each one of those mangoes makes when they fall on a tin roof. And every morning, you go out and fill a bucket or two with fallen mangoes…wonna trade places until mango season is over 🙂
