The month of April was full of it:
the shadow side of humanity,
the terror of natural disaster,
unpredictability on all fronts and unsettled emotions.
Above all – change and more change.
As winter transitioned into spring, we humans followed the erratic roller-coaster path of nature.
Even the first day of May was full of light and shadows, torrents of rain interspersed with sun.
Still, each day, more colors spread across the hills; Nature unfolds following her ancient rhythm.
Blossoms hold whispered promises of fruit later on. Even now, they nourish our soul’s need for hope, encourage faith, extract our labor of love.
Can we forgive winter’s heaviness, shed our dark thoughts, and lighten our actions? Can we love as spring loves us and the birds and the trees all the same?
Really lovely photos and words, Annette!

That is my favorite thing about spring – the lush, impossibly bright greens that only last for a short time.
