Convergence

Trains and tracks

Trains and tracks

These train tracks remind me of the many people I have encountered in my life. Like parallel tracks, there are people who I may be aware of but whose paths I don’t cross.

There are others who gather around the same places and values I resonate with. So we fly together for a while:

We may share food, inspiration and common interests:

Sometimes, it’s easy and comfortable to share the same space

At other times, conflicts arise

Fighting over food

and someone ends up leaving on a divergent path

Flying away

Flying away

But when our ideas and energies come together, and when different aspects of personality and ways of being complement each other, we’ve hit a sweet spot of convergence

I dedicate this post to all the people whose convergent and divergent paths have enriched my own.
