Heavy rain clouds alternating with bursts of sunlight created many different moods this evening.
The orange golden flames of maple trees light up the landscape
volunteering as backdrop to a stand of milkweed:
I follow this winding country road
savoring the play of light on the canvas laid out before me
As the clouds swallow the sun,
they cast a purple hue across the land.
A final glimpse of sunlight on the mountain, then evening descends.
That road looks positively enchanting!
