Golden Grass: Juxtaposition (IV)

Sedge grass

Sedge grass

Evening light transformed this patch of tan sedge grasses into a golden wave, nicely contrasted by the stout and stern maple tree. The tree reminds me of a matronly guardian who keeps a watchful eye over the mischievous frolicking of the grasses in the meadow.

The theme for the Weekly Photo Challenge is “Juxtaposition.” Michelle invites us to share images that show “the act of placing things side by side, especially for the purpose of comparison or contrast.”
