Ice Crystal Meditations

It was SO cold this morning (-10 F or -26 C). I tried to do a frozen bubble experiment: blowing soap bubbles into the cold morning air hoping they would freeze before they hit the ground. Then take photographs of the crystals in the bubbles. See this link for my inspiration.

Well, that didn’t go as planned since the bubbles burst too quickly.
Instead, I found some ice crystals on the storm door and had my husband shine a flashlight behind it for the light effects. Enjoy…

  1. We also failed the frozen soap bubble experiment — but did have fun with the boiling water in sub-zero temps! (I posted pics in my last post). Your photos are like intricate stained glass windows — Mother Nature is the best artisan!
