When I think of “delicate,” what comes to mind is something that needs to be handled with care, something that is fragile and vulnerable, something precious that could easily and quickly fall apart. People, plants, animals, topics, questions, and relationships can all be delicate at times.
This little girl wanted to leave a tip for a street juggler and ever so delicately dropped a few coins in the bucket.
This young man handles his newly acquired toy with pride and gentleness.
And is there anything more delicate than a butterfly?

This flower’s delicateness lies in its intricate pattern of petals and sepals:
A vine growing across the outside wall of a bank building creates intricate and delicate living art:
Frost on tall grasses sparkles in the morning sun like delicate diamonds:
Fern leaves have inspired many artistis to create intriguing patterns with delicate features:

How do you drive through a large herd of cattle and avoid the wrath of the territorial bulls? Very slowly and delicately!

Suzanne, thank you so much for stopping by and feeling moved by my pictures. I have decided, though, not to accept awards. I do appreciate your nomination. Feel free to stop by as much as you like.

That is absolutely fine. I find it so difficult to find blogs to link to in my posts because every blog I follow is just awesome. 🙂

Thank you, Milka. That was an amazing growth spreading across that wall. I loved the way it was spreading as if to cover the entire blank side of the building.

I agree with Amy, they are all beautiful, a lovely interpretation of the theme. I love the ones of the children.

Perfect photos for the theme. I love how little children always want to be the ones to drop the money into the tins 🙂

Thanks, Marianne. Yes, there were a few other tiny tots that did the same. One of them even tried to take money OUT of the little bucket and her mom had to quickly intervene.

Nice choices. That last one reminds me of the mountains of Wyoming. 🙂

Thank you, Janet. That last picture was actually taken on top of the highest mountain in Virginia. I have never been to Wyoming, but it’s on my list….

These shots are all wonderful and all fit the theme very well, but that little girl leaving the tip in the can is priceless – it pours emotion and really tells a story. Nicely done!
