Lately, my horizons have been decorated with intensely colored sunsets and breathtaking sunrises, but always bounded by the mountains I have chosen to call home. Peach-orange brush strokes light up the sky while the world below is retreating into blue and black shadows:
Golden hazy clouds simulate a light-covered ocean beyond the mountain ridge skyline:
Purple dancing with crimson and gold dress up the sky in festive colors before night closes in:
The final golden-hued rays kiss the mountains tops good-night and promise to return after the dark hiatus of the night:
And morning does return. The clear blue ridgeline against the pale morning sky cannot contain for long the ephemeral misty veils beginning to rise:
Breathtaking, simply beautiful. Thank you

Tish – I saw those colors in the making while driving down a mountain road and knew I had a very short window to find a safe place (well, sort of) to stop and get that picture. It was magical to see the colors intensify and then fade away again within just a few minutes.
